Comprising of Mick Brommell, Glynn Pout and Trevor Glen, The Ruffs began around a pub table at the Golden Cross in Billinghay.
Their unusual songwriting took off when couldn’t think of one song about Billinghay… So they wrote one. It was entered into the BBC Radio Lincolnshire “Song for Lincolnshire”, they won a prize and have never looked back. That was 16 years ago.
Passionate about everything and anything Lincolnshire the band is assured to bring a smile to your face.
The Ruffs have been successful enough to have toured around New York state for two weeks, attracting to the gigs any American with the slightest link to a Lincolnshire ancestorial history. The Ruffs also always donate to local charities from the money earned.
Their album The Best of The Ruffs is great to listen to whilst drinking a cold pint of Batemans beer.
