Caring For Health And Wellbeing

Health Walks

We support a network of over 60 free health walks across Lincolnshire and Newark. All the walks are run by an amazing team of volunteer walk leaders and come under the umbrella of the national Ramblers Walking for Health scheme.

The walks can help boost your physical health, but you can gain so much more; meeting new friends, learning about your local area and improving your mental health.

Find your nearest walk and more details here.

Community Cuppa

Our Community Cuppas aim to build connections between people and their communities, helping tackle loneliness and social isolation.

They’re free to attend and open to anyone who would like to come along to meet people, find out about things happening in the local area and most importantly, have a slice of cake and a cuppa!

Find your nearest event here.

Health Pod

Our community health pod pops up across the county offering free health checks and advice provided by one of our pharmacists.

All Lincolnshire Co-op members are eligible for a free cholesterol test to be included in the health check, just bring your dividend card on the day.

Keep an eye on our events page to see where we'll be popping up next.

Unfortunately, there is a high demand for foodbanks who provide an essential service for those facing food poverty. All our food stores act as a collection point for their local foodbank or community larder. The collection point in store will provide details of the local foodbank and the items they’re wanting help with – as a guide, donations of items like tinned meat, tinned fruit, cereals, tea & coffee and toiletries are always welcome.

If you have a few spare pennies, then why not pick up a couple of extra items next time you shop and drop them in the collection point.

If you have any questions then please contact the Community team on 01522 544632 or email

Covid 19 Groups

Since the start of the pandemic we’ve linked each of our food stores and pharmacies to a community group who can help with shopping and collecting prescriptions for people who were isolating or vulnerable. Many of these groups are continuing to support people locally, find your local group here.

We're selling £20 vouchers over the phone - they can be used by volunteers, friends or family to pay for the shopping of those who are isolating.

The vouchers are ordered over the phone, then sent out by recorded first class post and delivered to a chosen address. They can then be used as payment in Lincolnshire Co-op food stores.
