A problem has occurred
We're sorry but a problem has occurred. The developers have been notified and will investigate as soon as possible.
Together, we're supporting local mental health and domestic abuse charities through our Community Champions scheme.
As the country goes through uncertain times, we're helping charities that have seen an increase in demand for their vital services.
One of the groups we're raising funds for is EDAN Lincs, based in Lincolnshire, which supports and empowers those who have suffered or are exposed to domestic violence.
The charity provides safe emergency temporary accommodation and offers support to anyone experiencing domestic abuse, including those with children
In 2019/2020 59 families were given a refuge place, meaning they could live in a safe and secure environment with support to empower them to re-build their lives. And over 1,000 people were helped through the EDAN Lincs Outreach and IDVA service in the same year.
The charity offers guidance through 1:1 sessions, group sessions or via telephone. With 1:1 sessions, workers meet individuals in their own home if it is safe to do so, or if necessary, at a nearby place that they agree is safe and appropriate.
Here's what one survivor of domestic abuse said about the support:
