Colleagues from Head Office are walking 19.5 miles around Lincoln on Friday 19th March as part of our Community Champions pedometer challenge.
They’ll be putting their walking shoes on to walk from Stanley Bett House on Tentercroft Street, stopping at Lincolnshire Co-op food stores along the way, with the aim of contributing to the number of miles walked during the three-week challenge for local hospices.
The route will include stops at the following stores, where colleagues will be hosting fundraising events to raise even more money:
Colleagues taking part in the pedometer challenge have pledged to walk a total of 10,000 miles between Monday 1st and Sunday 21st May, which coincides with National Walking Month.
There has been plenty going across the Society to boost the step count. Colleagues in the North of Lincolnshire are undertaking a 12k walk along the Cleethorpes coast this weekend, and a team from Bardney Food Store will be walking from Bardney to Woodhall Spa on the final day of the challenge.
