Discover the twin charms of Budapest, wander the elegant streets of Vienna, and explore the characterful Slovak capital, Bratislava. Along the way, sail through the UNESCO-listed Wachau Valley, pass hilltop castles and storybook towns, and immerse yourself in the music, culture and traditions that have shaped this remarkable region. From classical recitals and folklore performances to ever-changing river views, this is the Danube at its most captivating.

Itinerary

 

Day 1 - Arrival in Budapest - The adventure begins in the city of Budapest.

 

Day 2 - Budapest - Explore Budapest on a guided tour, followed by an afternoon of sailing and a folklore show on board.

 

Day 3 - Bratislava - Enjoy a relaxing morning sailing then discover Slovakia’s capital city, Bratislava, on a guided tour with free time after.

 

Day 4 - Dürnstein & Melk - Explore Melk Abbey on a guided tour before free time in Dürnstein, then cruise through the Wachau Valley towards Linz.

 

Day 5 - Salzburg or Linz - Reaching Linz, visit this charming town or drive to Salzburg for a guided walking tour.

 

Day 6 - Vienna - Discover imperial Vienna, from St Stephen’s Cathedral to grand palaces, before a classical recital on board.

 

Day 7 - Cruise towards Budapest - Enjoy a leisurely morning as we cruise towards Budapest, where we’ll have a free afternoon to explore.

 

Day - 8 - Return home - Disembark and begin your journey home or, if time permits, explore Budapest at leisure from a central location before you travel.
