Departing from Birmingham on Friday 27th October 2023 for a seven night river cruise onboard the MS William Wordsworth.

Soak up all that Europe’s most cultured river has to offer, with its wealth of grand baroque architecture, medieval cities, picture perfect towns and the sights that inspired Strauss and Mozart.

From Budapest, head north to Esztergom spending the morning exploring its historic centre before continuing westwards to the beautiful old town of Bratislava. Navigating through Lower Austria, the cruise reaches the romantic town of Dürnstein and afterwards the remarkable monastery in Melk.

In Linz you have the opportunity to discover its baroque old town on a guided tour or take the short drive to Salzburg and enjoy a guided tour of the old town. On the way back eastwards, you will reach classical Vienna, home of Strauss and many great composers.

Finally, cruising into Hungary, arrive back in imperial Budapest. After a guided tour of the city, spend the evening on board for another spectacular dinner and the finale to this most exceptional and relaxing cruise.

Includes:

  • Full board from dinner on your day of arrival until breakfast on your final day; if you choose to travel on any of the full day excursions by coach, a packed lunch will be provided. Anyone choosing to stay on the ship may of course have lunch in the restaurant
