When the sun is shining there are few better places to be than our own fair country and one particular spot famous for its beauty is north Norfolk.
Just a couple of hours drive from Lincolnshire, a trip here will leave you more time to enjoy yourself and less time travelling. It’s also a perfect choice for couples and families alike.
North Norfolk is renowned for its spectacular coastline boasting wildlife, sandy beaches, rolling countryside and seaside market towns.
In fact, Holkham beach at Wells-next-the-Sea has been voted best beach in Britain – surely that’s worth a visit to find out if you agree!
Its great expanse of fine golden sand is bordered by soft dunes and dense pine woodlands. Plus you can bag an ice cream from the pretty seaside town before you set up your deckchair.
The beauty of this area is that you can jump in the car, take the coast road and explore the next bay along.
Head west and you’ll arrive at the Sea Life Sanctuary in Hunstanton and the pretty town of Sheringham. Between them both is a landscape of tidal marshes, creeks and sweeping golden beaches designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Alternatively, go east for the clifftop setting of Cromer complete with its Victorian pier, home to the Pavilion Theatre and the country's only remaining traditional end-of-the-pier variety show, the sell-out Seaside Special.
Then of course there’s birdwatching, the North Norfolk Railway and the Deep History Coast to keep you busy as well.
Hoseasons has a range of self-drive hotel breaks or escorted coach tours so you can sit back and let them arrange the sight-seeing for you.
Whether you’re summer holidaying with the kids or getting away together, find out more at your local Lincolnshire Co-op travel branch, plus book in April and receive x3 dividend with selected tour operators.
