Two local charities have received a £250 windfall as part of opening celebrations for a new funeral arrangement office in Caistor.
The branch in High Street was converted from a former restaurant unit using £55,000 of investment and includes a private arrangement lounge and a welcoming reception area.
It means people in the area can simply pop in to see Lincolnshire Co-op’s professional funeral colleagues about funeral plans, advice on arrangements and any questions they may have.
An official opening was held on Monday 8th January. To help mark the occasion a donation of £250 was made to Caistor and District Lions Club, and another £250 was given to Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre.
The branch is Lincolnshire Co-op’s 21st funeral home and joins its Caistor Food Store in the town.
