In the UK 5.4 million people are receiving treatment for asthma - that's 1 in 12 adults and 1 in 11 children.

According to Asthma UK, the lives of three families are devastated by the death of a loved one to an asthma attack every day and tragically two thirds of deaths are preventable.

A recent survey by Asthma UK found that up to a third of sufferers aren’t using their inhaler properly. This could lead to side effects or not receiving the correct dosage of medicine.

Lincolnshire Co-op pharmacists can help - just pop into your nearest branch for some free advice on how to use your inhaler or any other questions about asthma or its treatment.

Symptoms of asthma include:

  • Coughing
  • Wheezing
  • Tight chest
  • Shortness of breath

Although not curable, asthma is treatable - for more information, visit your local Lincolnshire Co-op pharmacy.
