For lovers of local, those from our bakers Gadsby’s may take your fancy. For those partial to a sweeter treat, Co-op Irresistible hot cross buns are the ones for you.
We tried ours toasted with salted butter and here’s what we thought:
Gadsby’s hot cross buns £1:
Emma S said - “This is light and not too overwhelming with spicing. It’s a nice one to have in your lunchbox.”
Sophie said: - “Perfect for me, not too sweet and not too savoury”
Hannah said: - “Wow, this is one hearty hot cross bun! It’s filling and nice to eat. I’d pack it in a picnic to keep me fuelled for the day, or it would be a great snack for little mouths to munch on.”
Co-op Irresistible sourdough richly fruited hot cross buns £1.25:
Emma S said: - “This is really rich and tasty. Delicious. Perhaps one more for an adults’ palate though.”
Sophie said: - “Definitely one to have after tea with a nice strong brew.”
Hannah said: - “Absolutely delicious – there’s a hint of warm spices and fruit which makes it very tasty. They’re a little on the smaller side though, so I’d enjoy these as an after dinner treat.”
And so it’s decided! For a richer flavour and taste of luxury stick with Co-op Irresistible, but if you want to add some punch to your pack up - go for Gadsby’s.
Pop in to your local Lincolnshire Co-op food store to pick up a pack - or both! As an added egg-stra, you’ll also receive a 10% dividend voucher* if you shop with us before Sunday 16th April.
