Spend your dividend!

Did you know £4.8 million worth of dividend is waiting to be spent on our members’ accounts?

One of the benefits of being a Lincolnshire Co-op member is that you can collect and redeem dividend every time you shop in our outlets.

In 2019/20 we shared £3.8 million in dividend with our members, including an extra dividend of £1.8 million in December 2020. In turn members spent £4 million worth of dividend during that time.

Lots of our members are surprised to see how much dividend they have collected – especially as it soon adds up if you shop with us regularly. Did you know you can check your balance anytime by signing into your account on our website?

Since our website launched in 2016, over 82,000 people have created an online account with us – it’s simple to do, you’ll just need your 6-digit membership number (found on your card or key fob) and a password. Once you’ve verified your details, you’ll be all set up ready to manage your account from the comfort of your home, or whilst you’re on the go!

Did you know we also have an app? Making is even easier to check your balance whilst you’re out and about, plus you can use it to collect and redeem your dividend without having to worry about carrying your card or key fob with you. Just search for Dividend Card on either the App Store or Google Play.

Whether you have a little or a lot of dividend, it could go a long way to treating yourself, someone special or helping others - and you can use it as full or part payment anytime – just let our colleagues know at the till!

What about restocking the cupboards with the essentials, or trying something from one of our local producers? 🧀 Money is tight for a lot of people at the moment, so if you've got some dividend saved this could be a great time to use it for doing your food shopping, helping you to save for other things.

Some of our colleagues and customers have told us they are using their dividend to purchase items to help others....what a great idea! Why not pick up a some products during your essential shopping trip and donate them to your local food bank - we've got collection bins in our food stores which you can pop the items into. Or how about picking up a few things for a neighbour who might benefit from a few essentials dropped at their door?👵👴
