Popular pharmacy opens in new space

A popular pharmacy in Scunthorpe is caring for people’s health and wellbeing from a new-look facility.

Lincolnshire Co-op’s Westcliff Pharmacy has started serving customers from its new space at the redeveloped Westcliff precinct.

The unit has been fitted out using £150,000 of investment and sits just a short walk away from its old home on the site.

There's now a wider range of valued services at the pharmacy and the team can give one-to-one advice from two consultation rooms inside, compared to the single room at its old premises.

There’s also a bigger selection of over-the-counter medicines and goods and better seating for customers, along with a new and improved layout for the dispensary.

All six colleagues from Westcliff Pharmacy and its home delivery driver have moved across to the new unit, and there’ll be an official opening celebration at a later date.

Lincolnshire Co-op’s Head of Pharmacy Alastair Farquhar said: “We’re really pleased with the unit’s new look.

"Whether you’d like a free health check, need a NHS Medicine Use Review or could use some friendly one-to-one advice on your health, our Westcliff Pharmacy team are ready to help."

The pharmacy’s move is part of a redevelopment plan for the Westcliff precinct being led by Ongo Homes.

Lincolnshire Co-op also provides valued services from its Riddings Post Office and Willoughby Road Food Store in Scunthorpe.
