NEW Changes to Membership...

Image of shutterstock_1682847517-1.jpg for NEW Changes to Membership...

We're making some changes to our membership scheme. We're looking at using online services including the development of a new membership app, and under data privacy laws the age a person can give consent to receive an online service is 13. Because of this, we've closed our current Junior Membership scheme.

All existing junior members will receive a letter in the post week beginning 30th October 2023, letting them know of the closure and for those aged 12-15, what happens to any dividend they have collected.

We know the benefits of the junior memberships are valued though, so parents and guardians can now add under 13s to their membership and opt into family communications, meaning they can continue to receive things like free fruit and birthday cards on behalf of children.

We will restart our birthday cards in January 2024, and this will also be when our latest free fruit campaign is too.

Anyone aged 13+ can sign up to become a member and will receive the full adult membership benefits.

If you are already a member, simply sign into your account here and select the ‘add a child’ option from the 'my account' menu. You can add up to 10 children to your account – and remember to opt into family communications so we can send free fruit and birthday cards.

Alternatively, give our Membership team on 01522 781 135 or email them at membership@lincolnshire.coop (Monday - Friday, 8:30 – 17:00).

If you’re not a member, you’ll need to sign up before you can add kids to your account – it’s free and easy to sign up, just click here to become a member, and you will be able to add children to your membership during the application process.

Alternatively, pick up an application form in-store, complete your details, pop it back to us and we’ll do the rest.

Yes, all previous Junior Members will need to either be added to an adult membership if they are 12 and under. If they are 13+ they can re-apply to become a member and will receive the full benefits of being a Lincolnshire Co-op member.

No, anyone aged 13+ will become a full adult member of Lincolnshire Co-op. Only under 13s linked to an adult account will be eligible for free fruit campaigns and birthday cards.

As part of the closure process, we have issued letters to a parent/guardian of the Junior Member.

Where there was a balance to settle, we’ve included a voucher for the balance amount. This voucher can be used as full or part payment in any Lincolnshire Co-op food store.

If you have not received a letter and believe there is a balance on your child's account, please get in touch with the Membership team a call on 01522 781 135 or email them at membership@lincolnshire.coop (Monday - Friday, 8:30 – 17:00).
