Gainsborough Post Office ready to serve

Lincolnshire Co-op’s Gainsborough Post Office has moved to a new home after relocating to a brand-new site joining our travel branch on the same street.

The outlet moved to Market Street, just a few hundred metres away from its previous location in the Lindsey Centre, which is the subject of a major planning application to turn the site into a cinema and retail units.

Gainsborough Post Office manager Ben Edge said: “The team are looking forward to welcoming customers to our new outlet as we continue to provide a valued service for the town.”

The post office’s opening hours will remain the same from 8.30am until 5.30pm on Monday, 9am until 5.30pm Tuesday to Friday and 9am until 2pm on Saturday.

There are social distancing measures in the branch including a limit on the number of customers inside, markings on the floor to encourage social distancing and screens at the counters.

The fresh-look post office will have four serving positions. There will also be a range of post office products and services available including business and personal banking.
