Our support for Scunthorpe United is kicking off with the launch of a new dedicated Family Zone at Glanford Park. Families will be able to enjoy watching the Irons in the Lincolnshire Co-op family zone located in the main stand.
The support for the Irons will take-off on Saturday 8th September for their match against Rochdale A.F.C. In addition to supporting the new stand, Lincolnshire Co-op are delighted to be an official sponsor for the club for the ongoing season.
We support a range of sporting events and clubs, through sponsorship and practical help as a means of helping the local economy. As Scunthorpe United's Chief Executive Officer, James Rodwell, commented:
“We’re delighted to welcome Lincolnshire Co-op as a new club sponsor for the forthcoming season. Not only do they provide a number of vital services in the area, but they also give a huge amount back through their community and charity work around the county and beyond, making them an ideal fit as a partner for the football club.”
Colleagues from Lincolnshire Co-op will be in attendance at the Scunthorpe vs Rochdale match at Scunthorpe’s ground Glanford Park. The team from Lincolnshire Co-op will also be offering free taste and tell opportunities before the game begins outside the grounds starting at 1.30pm.
The highlight of one junior members day will be the delight of being a Scunthorpe mascot for the day. The lucky winner of our junior membership competition will have the treat of walking onto the pitch surrounded by the home town players, no doubt an unforgettable experience for them and their family.
To top it off, we’ll be holding a dividend card competition on the day too! Spectators in the family zone will have the opportunity to win a box of Cadbury Heroes’ if they’re lucky enough to find a card attached to their seat.
We’ve already sponsored matches between Grimsby Town and Lincoln City, Lincoln City and Bury and we’re looking forward to sponsoring Boston United vs Chester FC on September 15th at Jakeman’s Stadium in Boston town centre.
