Food Banks

Food banks and community larders provide vital food and support for people who have fallen on hard times. Sadly, many food banks are giving out more food than they are getting in. Find out how you can support your community and local food bank.

Supporting our local food banks

There are a few different ways you can support your local food bank.

You can donate non-perishable, in-date food items in all our food stores.

Most requested items include:

  • Tins of fruit
  • Tinned Veg
  • Puddings
  • Tuna
  • UHT milk
  • Sugar
  • Cereals
  • Biscuits

Find your local food store.

Pharmacy sanitary and toiletries collection

We have collection bins for sanitary and toiletry items at all of our pharmacies. These are then donated to a range of groups and charities including many local food banks to help support the local community.

Throughout December we invite people to donate a different item to their local food bank every day from 1st - 24th December by popping items in the collection bins in our food stores.
