We’ve been raking hard to make way for wild flowers that butterflies will love!
Our current Community Champion Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, work hard to maintain the reserve for both people and wildlife; making public footpaths and maintaining a wildlife-friendly environment.
As part of the Lincolnshire Co-op’s staff volunteering programme, our volunteers picked up their tools to clear away the cut grass and debris. Doing this will help wild flowers flourish, which will provide a fantastic environment for butterflies and other wildlife.
Making a difference
As well our staff getting mucked in to volunteering for great causes, every penny our members spend in store helps raise money for our current Community Champion, currently benefiting local wildlife trusts. The money raised funds educational activities at the local nature reserves, or towards improvements at their sites so that wildlife can thrive.
