Our free fruit initiative for children is returning for 2026!
Did you know you can add under 13s to your membership - meaning they can kick start their Summer 2026 by heading into our food stores and grabbing a FREE Gala apple 🍎 banana 🍌 or orange 🟠 using a fruit card!
We recently ran a competition for children to help design our free fruit initiative for summer.
We're really pleased to say, we have a winner!
Valerija, aged 11, from Spalding, has been chosen our winner - her design was bright, colourful and even gave a nod to the summer of sport!
Well done Valerija - we can't wait to see your design in all our food stores and on the fruit cards being sent out to all taking part!
Free fruit will return on 27th July 2026
For those who have already registered you'll automatically be sent a free fruit card in the post just before the new initiative starts.
If you've not yet signed up, see below for details of how to get a fruit card!
To get a fruitastic card, simply add under 13s to your membership and opt into family postal communications, so we can pop a card in the post to you each time the initiative runs. You can add up to 10 children to your account here.
You only need to set this up once, we'll then automatically send you a card for each child linked to your account, every time free fruit returns.
Our free fruit initiatives take place during some of the school holidays - keep an eye out for the next one by looking out for posters in our food stores, details on our member newsletters and by following our social media channels.

- Fruit cards are just for children under 13 who are part of an adult membership to enjoy. Parents and guardians can collect fruit on behalf of the registered child but please don’t pass your card on to anyone else.
- A maximum of one free fruit item can be collected each day.
- Every day you can choose either a loose Gala apple, banana, or orange.
- Fruit stocked may vary between stores and is subject to availability. Some stores may not stock all 3 products due to limited space in the store but should have at least 1 of the items every day.
- You can get this fruitastic offer from 27th July 2026 to 5th September 2026
- You can only get your hands on free fruit in Lincolnshire Co-op food stores.
- Cannot be exchanged for cash.
- We may withdraw this offer at any time.
- We can’t replace any lost or stolen cards.
- Please don’t photocopy the card - photocopies will not work on our tills.
