New Community Health Hub - Birchwood, Lincoln

A new Community Health Hub is coming to Lincoln.
We're currently on site at a new health and wellbeing facility in Lincoln’s Birchwood Centre, neighbouring the Lincolnshire Co-op food store.
Expected to complete in autumn 2025, the space re-envisions the traditional pharmacy model into a multi-purpose healthcare destination, offering a range of healthcare products, prescription collection, and private consultations and appointments.
Five bespoke consultation rooms will be created as part of the site’s transformation, designed to offer patients a comfortable and private setting to access a wide range of services – including healthy heart checks and travel vaccines – through Lincolnshire Co-op’s experienced pharmacy team.
In addition, space is available for healthcare providers to rent, bringing new services into the local community.
Podiatry services will be available at the Health Hub, delivered by the expert team currently based at Lincolnshire Co-op’s Redwood Drive Chiropody in Waddington, who will be relocating once work is complete.
Pharmacy colleagues currently based at Birchwood Pharmacy will also move into the new outlet at this stage, and their patients will be automatically transferred alongside them, meaning they can continue to collect their prescriptions and access services without disruption.
The team at Lincolnshire Co-op’s Birchwood Medical Centre Pharmacy, which was previously owned by Boots, will move over to the new facility in 2026, with more information to follow.

Community Champions

Our Community Champions scheme combines the efforts of our members, colleagues and customers to raise vital funds for local good causes.
Until early September, we are supporting Macmillan and have pledged to raise an incredible £200,000.
A donation of this size could support Macmillan’s support line phone service for five weeks. In this time, the dedicated team could deal with over 10,000 calls and web enquiries from people in need of information or support.
