Community Champions

Community Champions is Lincolnshire Co-op’s way of sharing our profits with the community.

As we’re owned by our members, we want to put them firmly in the driving seat, giving them the power to help their local community.

Every time a member shops with us using their dividend card, a donation will go to a nominated local charity or community group in their area. The beauty of Community Champions is that the more members spend, the more each local groups receive. During the 3 month period that Champions are nominated for, they can expect to raise around £200 - £2,000 but the sky’s the limit. Community Champions first launched in March 2013 and in the first year members helped us raise over £192,000 for 311 nominated local charities and good causes simply by shopping with us.

As part of Community Champions, members also have the option of choosing to support a charity or community group of their choice from our central list. Charities or community groups who join our central list will receive the total amount raised by members who support them at the end of each year.
