We're sorry but a problem has occurred. The developers have been notified and will investigate as soon as possible.
During lockdown many of our businesses kept going - one of which was Messingham Post Office. Our colleagues there ensured that their vital service to the local residents of the village continued, providing a much needed lifeline for some.
The team's efforts have recently been rewarded with a very special delivery from the people of Messingham. They've been awarded a Lockdown Special Community Award for 2020.
The award commemorates our team's 'very appreciated efforts and hard work' during the coronavirus pandemic, saying they 'stepped up to support their community'. It also thanks local post men and women.
We caught up with Messingham's Post Office Manager Joanne to find out how the team felt to receive the award:
"Receiving the award is fantastic news for Messingham Post Office and the delivery workers," she said. "It has been very challenging times through COVID-19, especially with an increase in online shopping, parcels being returned and new customers coming to us for banking services as the banks were on reduced opening hours. All our colleagues have been amazing and pulled together."
We think this is wonderful and a well deserved award for a team that has gone the extra mile in difficult times. Congratulations 🎉
