Wellbeing walks questions and answers web

How do I join a Wellbeing Walk?

Just come along at the advertised time and join in! All our walks are free of charge, however certain groups ask for a donation towards refreshments. If this is your first time walking with a Lincolnshire Co-op wellbeing walk, please arrive 5-10 minutes before the advertised time to speak with our trained Walk Leaders (you’ll spot them in their high vis vests).

What do I need to bring with me?

You’ll need comfortable shoes, trainers or walking shoes/boots if you have them.

Bring your hats, gloves and scarfs if it’s going to be cool - you can always take them off. You could bring a light waterproof jacket if you’re unsure about the weather.

A small bottle of water will keep you hydrated, and it’s advisable to wear sun cream when walking in warm months.

Do I have to register?

You must complete a ‘new walker registration’ form on your first walk, but after filling it in you can walk with any of the Lincolnshire Co-op Wellbeing Walks.

Can I bring my dog on the walks?

Well behaved dogs will be welcome if they are on a lead, however this is at the discretion of the volunteer walk leader.

Are children welcome on the Wellbeing Walks?

All Wellbeing Walks welcome children to attend if they are with a parent/grandparent or guardian.

If you have any further questions please contact the Community Team, who will be more than happy to assist.
