Making life better in our communities

We have over 2,800 colleagues working with us here at Lincolnshire Co-op, many of whom are eager to roll up their sleeves and make a positive difference in the community.

This is why we offer every colleague 16 hours of paid volunteering each year.

Our dedicated community team pulls together on-going activities and one-off projects with local groups and charities, promoting opportunities to inspire colleagues and motivate them to get out and make a positive difference.

So far, we have tried our hand at gardening, tree planting, opening community gardens, painting, walk leading, supporting community cuppa groups, bookkeeping and supporting Foodbanks.

The list is always growing! We also support organisations who have received funding from our Community Champions scheme, helping to get their projects off the ground.

Can we help with your project?

Getting our colleagues out of their usual day to day roles gives them a chance to connect with their communities, develop new skills and reinforce a sense of our purpose. If you have a project that would benefit from some extra hands and momentum to push it forward, we'd love to hear from you. Please get in touch with the Community Team on 01522 544632.

If you’re feeling inspired to volunteer in your community, Volunteering | CVS Lincolnshire and Your CVS | Community | Nottingham, UK have searchable directories of local Volunteering opportunities.
