HABC Level 2 Award in Food Safety

This one day course is for those working in food preparation areas or handling open food. It enables you to take responsibility for following good food safety procedures and will give you knowledge of legislation, food safety hazards, temperature controls, food handling, cooking hot, holding and reheating and the principles of good storage and cleaning.

We will supply refreshments, including lunch. If you have special dietary needs, let us know so that appropriate refreshments can be arranged. Parking is not available at Stanley Bett House, however the bus and train stations are both in walking distance to Stanley Bett use.

Additional Information for all examinations - Please make sure that you bring with you identification for sitting examinations.

The list below gives you examples of acceptable ID.

You will need to present ONE of the following:

Group A • signed valid passport • signed UK paper driving licence • signed UK photo card driving licence • proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS) Card (must have PASS hologram on card)

If you are unable to provide identification from Group A list, you can present three items from the following list. One of these must include your signature.

Group B • A credit card, debit card produced by a bank, building society or credit card company, with signature and recent statement (less than three months old) • An original or certified copy of UK birth certificate • A marriage certificate (only if in current name) • P45 or P60 (issued within the last 12 months) • Mortgage statement (issued within the last 12 months) • Addressed pay slip (less than three months old) • Utility bill at current address e.g. gas/electric/telephone (less than three months old)
