Emergency First Aid

This one day course is designed to provide you with the confidence and skills to manage incidents, provide basic first aid and look after the first aid resources in your workplace. Successful candidates will gain a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive First Aid Regulations 1981.

The content of this course provides basic lifesaving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations, covering the following:

• The role of the first aider

• Health and safety (first aid) regulations

• Managing an emergency

• Resuscitation (adult CPR)

• Communication and casualty care

• Seizures (adult)

• Bleeding (minor and severe)

• Shock

• Burns

• Unresponsive casualty

• Choking (adult)

• Use of Defibrillators

We will supply refreshments, including lunch. If you have special dietary needs, let us know so that appropriate refreshments can be arranged. Parking is not available at Stanley Bett House, however the bus and train stations are both in walking distance to Stanley Bett House.
