Board of Directors election 2018

Election 2018 Web

Our election is taking place from Monday 14th May to Saturday 19th May.

You can vote throughout the opening hours of each of the following locations:

*closed Saturday 19th May

Hours: all day (the entire opening hours of each location)

  • Why should I vote for the Board of Directors?

As a co-operative we are different from many other businesses, whilst we have executives to run the business, the Board of Directors are all elected members – people like you. The Directors oversee the running of the society and make sure that we are a successful co-operative, looking after the interests of our members and the local community.

The Board of Directors is made up of nine elected members and up to three co-opted members.

This year we have three candidates and three vacancies so please show your support for the candidates by voting. All candidates will be elected for a three-year term.

  • Make your vote count!

To cast your vote simply go along to any of the locations listed above between 14th and 19th May with your dividend card and inform the staff that you wish to vote. You can vote for as many candidates as you wish.

If you would like to find out more about the role of our Board of Directors or how you could get more involved in the future, please contact the Membership and Community team on 01522 544 632 or email

Board Of Directors 2018 2

I have lived in Lincolnshire for almost all of my life spending the last 43 years in Whaplode. Part of my working life has been in the Post Office division of the society.

My day job is that of a Hospital Chaplain but I am also recognised for sitting on the Board of Directors which I have done for the past 8 years. During this time I have been part of many changes especially the development of the Cornhill Quarter and the development and growth of the businesses within the society.

What has not changed is our commitment to our members and communities, supporting local businesses where possible. As I travel around the trading area I am able to talk to staff and members listening to their hopes and visions and I hope to continue to sit on the board to support the society and members and see continued growth.

Claudia brings over 25 years of experience in law with knowledge of employment law, criminal and regulatory and an interest in compliance issues including GDPR.

She is an experienced Chair of Education Appeal Panels and also currently sits as a School Governor.

She has considerable board level experience including time as a director of the Hoffmann Foundation for autism.

She feels that Lincolnshire Co-op has the resources and buying power of a big company but has the responsible ethics and attitudes more ordinarily found in a small family one.  She would be delighted to be able to support the Board as a Director.

I joined Lincolnshire Co-op Society in 2003 as an Area Manager in the food division and since 2011, I have been general manager of Gadsby’s Bakery in Southwell.

With an MBA from Sunderland University and nearly 30 years of retail and management experience, I feel I have the skills and qualifications required to make a positive impact on the Society's direction and strategy for the future.

I firmly believe in the co-operative business model of building a sustainable, profitable member owned society that continues to provide the best range of services for our customers whilst supporting the communities that in turn support our stores.

Head Office: Stanley Bett House, 15-23 Tentercroft Street, Lincoln, LN5 7DB.
