From Sunday 3rd December 2023 - Sunday 2nd March 2024, we supported local youth groups through our Community Champions scheme.

We're currently totting up the totals so keep your eyes peeled to see how much has been raised.

Every time a member shopped in a Lincolnshire Co-op outlet, a donation was made to the Community Champion for that area. We also raised money through activities, events and collection boxes in our outlets.

We are a brand new baby and toddler group based in our early years setting in Westwoodside academy. We welcome everybody within the community, from all across the Isle of Axholme, to to provide a safe, exciting and enriching environment for all children. Any money raised for and on behalf of Framework would be used to support the vulnerable members of society that get referred to Framework. We would use the money to purchase basic furniture/household items for when they move into their own property. Our aim is to get the homeless from off the street and into their own accommodation. But most have little or no belongings to set up home with.

The money will be used for the volunteer to continue to make the cakes each week. The group is a coffee morning, aimed at Wyberton residents or further afield to come along to enjoy a reduced price drink and cake, with books & magazines available, and friendly people that enjoy meeting new people.

The Wednesday Club is a group for young adults with learning disabilities. We meet each week for two hours and they have various activities to use and interact with their peers. We have regular social events and days out at the beach and maybe a zoo. Funding would help us carry on this worthwhile group and enable us to provide support to these young people.

Headway Lincolnshire is a local charity for people affected by acquired brain injury (ABI) and their families. We want to provide family activities for families. Having or caring for someone with an ABI is very socially isolated for all the family. We want to provide activities and peer support so families know they aren't alone. Brain injury is a family affair.

The Beonna is a heritage community event venue based in a Grade 1 listed former church. We aim to tell the stories and heritage of the Beonna & Coastal Villages of South East Lincs. Funding will help us build our community programme with resources that include tutor time, equipment & materials so we can share these stories and encourage participation and inclusion from all areas of community.

Our teams bring together, the community from around the local areas. Bringing both boys and girls the opportunity to partake and learn football. We are based at fosdyke, which has limited amenities. My daughter plays for under 13s and has grown in confidence and ability. As well as the rest of the team. Looking to the future, so the teams can stay together, and do more for the local community.

St. Mary & St. Nicholas Church welcomes all and is always there for everyone in their hour of need be it spiritual or physical and is funded by local fundraising and donations. But like everyone the upkeep and running costs are ever increasing. We are having to have some electrical work carried out and have restoration projects ongoing and any funding would be gratefully received.

Within our PPG our social prescriber runs a free Arts and Crafts Therapy group, which provides the attendees with a more holistic approach to communicate feelings or thoughts they find difficult to talk about. The monies raised would support this group with the cost of room hire and supplies.

If successful we would like to spend the money on 'Crumble Kits' for STEM resources and activities - STEM combines Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths to build on pupil knowledge and understanding and help develop skills. We would purchase these fun resources to help bring learning to life therefore making the more difficult subjects enjoyable and exciting to learn.

Birchwood Colts provides football activities for the children in local community, from 3 to 18 byears of age. Our philosophy and club motto is "Let the children play". We try our hardest to ensure our footbal activities are incluse and affordable to all members of our community. We desperately need new goals to repace our very old existing goals, which need replacing.

We are a not-for-profit organisation who provides a community venue, hosting services that benefit the area, including our own volunteer run projects that each benefit the physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of all who attend. The money will be used to keep our venue and services running through maintaining a safe environment and providing resources for our community lunch club.

The club was formed to bring together residents who enjoy gardening in all its aspects and to encourage others to become involved and benefit from the physical and mental attributes that gardening brings and to help them become better gardeners with the advice and knowledge of our speakers. developmentplus runs 5 mental health and wellbeing projects including the Better Together Art Group for adults of all abilities. The group, meeting biweekly, encourages skill sharing, experimenting with materials, and building friendships. They've explored wood whittling, botanical art, needle felting, pyrography, etc. Donations will fund future tutor fees and craft materials.

The hall boiler needs replacement. The hall serves many community groups, weekly parent and toddler, hired for birthday, baptism and wedding party people, kung Fu, jumble sales, weekly dance group, PCC, polling station. We can only serve the community if the hall is warm.

Our group suffered losses during COVID and very nearly closed down. We have managed to keep it running but desperately need an injection of funds to help us refurbish our stage and scenery plus renew out dated, inefficient lighting equipment. The Guide Dog mission is to provide guide dogs, mobility and other rehabilitation services that meet the needs of the visually impaired person. The Lincoln & District Branch of Guide Dog for the Blind Association consists of local volunteers, guide dog owners (and their dogs) and puppy raisers who actively fundraise and raise awareness at local events and supermarkets.

School is continually trying to develop the provision for children. This money would be used to provide playground equipment and games to help add further, fun, focus and team work to lunchtimes and playtimes. The school serves children of 3-11 years of age, from deprived backgrounds. The children really enjoy sport and having access to this equipment during unstructured time would be amazing.

Every Friday after school we offer games, crafts and fun with free food to local families. The Ermine and St Giles estates are areas of deprivation and disadvantage with more than half the children in the local primary schools in receipt of Free School Meal Benefit. Alford Windmill Trust has been established to preserve and operate Alford’s remaining, Grade 1 listed, windmill for the community. We took a neglected, dog mess filled, underused field and made it into a space that more people could use, we built a footpath around the perimeter to make it wheelchair friendly, we installed benches so people could rest and bins to help the litter and dog mess issue. Scampton Church of England Primary School is seeking to develop a disused area of the school and turn it into a reflective sensory garden. Here children and local groups can get away from the hustle and bustle of the playground, corridors and classrooms. This will be a significant support for the emotional wellbeing of our pupils and somewhere different to learn in the beauty of nature.

Also showcase the life of Polish families who lived in a community of Nissan huts at the village of Ingham who could not return to Poland. Need baby changing facilities.

Girlguiding Welton Rural District is devoted to empowering children through transformative residential trips. Our immersive experiences cultivate confidence, leadership, and compassion. To ensure a lasting impact on girls in our community, we seek a grant to subsidize these opportunities. Your support will make these experiences accessible to all.

Every donation we receive is put back into the Community, serving 3 day Food parcels to all our outreaches in the City. We provide (as best we can) a nutritional Food parcel for those in poverty or crisis. We try to add extra's in for children (even more so during holidays) & also try to look after those with no cooking facilities.
